Women Centre of Excellence

This project is targeted at young girls, adolescents, young and older women from the Bangladesh community. Through consultation and research a large number of local females aged from 12+ years all of whom have expressed interest in participating programmes for their personal development. 

 Employment & Career Advice

Increasing employment and supporting the local community in becoming more economically active remains a key aim for BYM.
During 2004 and 2005 approximately 160 young people benefitted from our programme, and this number is rising.

Advice Provision

Our five days a week Bi-lingual Advice Session is now a long establised area in the field of Welfare Rights Advice and Counselling Service. 
BYM is one of the leading voluntary sector organisations to provide bi-lingual welfare rights advice and information, as well as counselling service in the Stepney, Whitechapel, Shadwell and Wapping community area and all of Tower Hamlets.

Youth Provision

The Youth Provision is delivered in partnership with LBTH Council Youth Support Service and is in line with the youth work curriculum. It provides and organises a number of activities to meet the aims and objectives, based at the Berner Centre, Ponler Street, London E1.
